The friction that started Bahd
Every day, Ethiopians leave home hours early just to secure a seat. They stand in line at Lamberet or Meskel Square, cash in hand, with no way of knowing whether the bus is full until they arrive. For most people, that uncertainty is just the price of travel.
We started Bahd because we believed it didn't have to be. Transport operators across Ethiopia have seats. Travelers want to fill them. What was missing was a clear, honest bridge between the two — one that worked on the devices people actually own, in conditions they actually face.
